Born and raised in the West between Los Angeles and Tucson, Lizzy joins DUST with over a decade of design experience. She graduated in 2020 with a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Arizona, having studied abroad in Mexico and Scandinavia. In 2008, she received a degree in Visual Communication from the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in Los Angeles.
Inspired by her roots in Visual Communications, Lizzy has practiced in different facets of the art, design, and architecture fields, working in Los Angeles, New York, and Pittsburgh. Her experience includes work as a merchandiser for Comme des Garçon and Desert Vintage, and as a floral designer. Most recently she worked as an art handler and exhibitions designer, which helped to reinforce her investigation of the intersection between art and architecture, and she sees this cross-disciplinary interest as an extension of working with space to tell a narrative.
Lizzy is an energetic and focused designer at all scales. She has helped to develop several masterplan and commercial projects, with a focus on the conceptual and schematic process. She hopes to build on the thoughtful and elegant foundation of DUST’s design philosophies and finds value in the expression of culture and tradition present in the work.
